Overview
TalentFish is casting a line for a confident, hands-on Branch Manager to lead an HVAC wholesale-distribution location in Oak Creek, Wisconsin.

This individual will take ownership of daily branch operations, provide clear direction and accountability, develop the team, and establish the organization and consistency needed to deliver an excellent customer experience.

The Branch Manager will oversee employees, inventory, order fulfillment, customer service, warehouse activity, shipping and receiving, safety, and support for inside and outside sales.

What You'll Do

People Leadership

  • Lead, coach, develop, and hold branch employees accountable for individual and team goals.
  • Establish clear expectations, responsibilities, operating routines, and performance standards.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance discussions, and formal employee reviews.
  • Provide timely feedback, recognition, coaching, and corrective action when appropriate.
  • Ensure employees receive the training and support needed to perform effectively and grow professionally.
  • Build a dependable, collaborative, and customer-focused branch culture.
  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and employee development.


Branch Operations

  • Direct the daily operation of this branch.
  • Assess current processes and address gaps in organization, accountability, communication, and execution.
  • Oversee order fulfillment, inventory control, showroom presentation, warehouse flow, shipping, receiving, and delivery coordination.
  • Ensure customer orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time.
  • Establish and maintain effective operating procedures and branch standards.
  • Monitor branch performance and address service or operational issues promptly.
  • Use company systems and reports to manage branch activity, inventory, customer needs, and employee performance.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.


Customer Service and Sales Support

  • Ensure contractors and customers receive knowledgeable, responsive, and professional service.
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns and strengthen relationships with new and existing accounts.
  • Support inside and outside sales activity, promotions, and customer-growth initiatives.
  • Communicate customer needs, purchasing patterns, and potential opportunities to sales leadership.
  • Participate in customer outreach or outside sales calls when needed.
  • Partner with sales, operations, and leadership to support branch growth and customer retention.


Safety and Compliance

  • Maintain a safe, organized, and professional branch environment.
  • Communicate and enforce safety procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure employees are properly trained and certified to operate branch equipment.
  • Address safety hazards promptly and ensure equipment is properly maintained.
  • Support compliance with applicable employment policies and state and federal requirements.


What You Bring

  • High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least two years of store, branch, or operations-management experience in a wholesale environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading employees, improving performance, and holding teams accountable.
  • Knowledge of inventory, order fulfillment, warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, customer service, and sales support.
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to establish structure and priorities in a fast-moving operational environment.
  • Confidence addressing problems directly and following through to resolution.
  • Proficiency with business systems, Microsoft Excel, and standard office technology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • HVAC/R wholesale-distribution or contractor-industry experience.
  • Experience leading counter-sales, warehouse, delivery, or inside-sales employees.
  • Experience improving or stabilizing branch operations.
  • Familiarity with inventory accuracy, customer retention, sales support, and branch-performance measurements.
  • College coursework or a degree in business, operations, supply chain, or a related field.

Compensation Information
The expected salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
