About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead day-to-day operations, drive profitable sales growth, and develop a high-performing parts team serving commercial, fleet, and retail customers in the heavy-duty/automotive market.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & People
- Hire, onboard, schedule, and coach a team of counter pros, drivers, and warehouse associates.
- Set clear goals; conduct 1:1s, ride-alongs (as needed), and performance reviews.
- Build a culture of accountability, safety, and customer obsession.
- Sales & Customer Experience
- Own counter sales execution (walk-in, phone, B2B) and ensure fast, accurate lookups.
- Partner with outside sales on key accounts, quotes, bids, and pricing strategies.
- Resolve escalations; maintain high service levels and NPS/CSAT targets.
- Operations & Inventory
- Ensure inventory accuracy (cycle counts, core returns, RMAs/warranty, bin integrity).
- Oversee ordering, receiving, put-away, merchandising, planograms, and housekeeping.
- Enforce SOPs for cash handling, delivery routing, and will-call/curbside processes.
- P&L & Compliance
- Manage the store P&L: revenue, margins, expenses, shrink, and working capital.
- Use data to set goals, track KPIs, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain compliance with safety, legal, and company policies (incl. DOT/OSHA where applicable).
- 3–5+ years in store/branch management or assistant management within heavy-duty truck, automotive, or industrial parts (aftermarket preferred).
- Demonstrated success leading teams and meeting/exceeding sales and margin targets.
- Strong inventory management and merchandising experience.
- Proficiency with POS/ERP (e.g., Epicor, Karmak, CDK/Procede, P21, or similar) and Excel-level reporting.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to lift/move parts safely as needed.
- Experience with HD truck lines (e.g., braking, driveline, filtration, electrical, chemicals, shop supplies).
- Familiarity with fleet, municipal, construction, ag, or diesel service customer bases.
- Vendor program experience (rebates, co-op, dating, returns).
- Comp sales and gross margin growth vs. plan
- Inventory accuracy & turns; reduction in shrink/obsolete stock
- On-time delivery & order accuracy; queue/hold time targets
- Team retention, training completion, and safety record
- Customer satisfaction (NPS/CSAT) and complaint resolution time
- Schedule: Full-time, typically Monday–Saturday rotation
- Compensation: Base + performance bonus (store KPI-based)
- Benefits: [Health, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, holidays—insert specifics]
We are an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to protected characteristics.
