    Description

    Preferred Credit Union is seeking a dynamic leader to join our team as the Branch Manager at our Greenville location. In this position you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, supervising and coaching assigned branch staff. You will also lead by example to drive a culture of exceptional service, always working toward the goal of becoming the preferred financial partner of our members for their primary banking needs. 
     
    In this role you will:
    • Lead branch personnel by assigning, directing, coordinating, reviewing work, managing schedules, approving timecards, and ensuring appropriate staffing coverage.
    • Maintain branch operations by overseeing cash control, teller cash verification, compliance with credit union policies, procedures, regulations, and accounting standards, managing supplies, and interior and exterior maintenance. 
    • Support employee performance and development through onboarding, training, staff meetings, performance reviews, coaching documentation, and coordination with the training department.
    • Handle member complaints and service expectations while keeping leadership informed and requesting support from the COO or other managers when needed.
    • Drive branch growth and service promotion by training staff on credit union products, cross-selling, marketing objectives, loan and share growth, and recommending improvements to branch policies and procedures.
    This role requires strong leadership, clear communication, sound judgment, adaptability, and a service-focused mindset. The branch leader must be able to guide and motivate employees, communicate expectations and changes effectively, make thoughtful decisions in operational and member-service situations, adjust quickly to staffing or workflow challenges, and model a positive, professional approach that supports both employees and members. The successful candidate will also possess the following qualifications:
    • Minimum of five years of consumer lending experience required.
    • 5 to 8 yrs in a leadership role in a CU or bank, preferred.
    • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field preferred.
    • Proven experience within a financial institution branch.
    • Strong knowledge of financial products, services, operations, and regulatory requirements.
    • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales and service targets, with a focus on member satisfaction and relationship building.
