    Description

    The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing end-to-end processes and operations within the branch location. Must ensure adherence to all laws and legal regulations, provide excellent customer service, manage on-site staff, optimize productivity, grow the business, monitor all financial matters and support sales staff as needed.

    Salary range is 135K-165K plus bonus, car allowance & benefits depending on experience.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Exceed customer expectations by providing highest possible service quality to customers.
    • Optimize branch transactions, increase sales and decrease costs.
    • Optimize staffing productivity to assume best use of all resources.
    • Responsible for strong growth within designated geographical area and maximal utilization of business potential.
    • Continuously strive for high productivity, competitive efficiency and best quality.
    • Fully adhere to all defined policies and standards and to local law.
    • Responsible for P&L including activities in the field of accounting, financial controlling and strategic planning.
    • Prepare yearly local budget including investments and staffing.
    • Develop and expand customer relationships together with sales.
    • Responsible for implementation and maintenance of standardized processes, structures and systems according to corporate guidelines.
    • Responsible for management of all personnel and HR matters including staff training and planning in cooperation with Human Resources (HR).
    • Ensure company's Code of Conduct is fully enforced and followed by employees.
    • Financial Management: AR (Accounts Receivable), AP (Accounts Payable).


    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • The incumbent will directly and/or indirectly supervise up to 10 employees.


    QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • Demonstrated strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to translate strategy into actionable operational plans and drive execution.
    • Proven leadership and people management experience, including recruitment, training and development, coaching, conflict resolution, and performance management.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in both open and confidential settings.
    • Sound decision-making capabilities with a high level of accountability and ownership.
    • Results-driven with a strong customer-focused mindset.
    • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate resources across teams and organizational boundaries.
    • Serves as a role model aligned with corporate values.
    • Highly organized with strong time management skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Minimum of five (5) years of managerial experience.
    • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience within the freight forwarding industry.
    • Strong financial acumen, experience managing P&L.
    • Experience across air, ocean, and supply chain/logistics operations.
    • Knowledge of market dynamics, competitors, trends, and challenges within the freight forwarding industry.
    • Experience with CargoWise is a plus.
    • Additional international language skills are a plus.
