Build the Team. Shape the Culture. Grow the Market.
Sprague is looking for a growth-minded Branch Manager to lead our Beaverton, Oregon branch and build the next chapter of our presence across the west side of the Portland metro and Oregon Coast. This is an opportunity to create a cohesive Beaverton branch culture with its own identity, rhythms, and sense of ownership while staying closely connected to Sprague's standards, resources, and broader Portland-area team.
The market is as varied as the geography. Washington County brings a deep concentration of technology, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, construction, food, and other commercial businesses. Clackamas County adds advanced manufacturing, food systems, high tech, logistics, agriculture, and wood products. Farther west, Lincoln and Tillamook counties broaden the mix through hospitality and tourism, commercial fishing and seafood, maritime activity, dairy and food production, forestry, and other natural-resource businesses. You will turn that variety into opportunity by developing a versatile team, building strong client partnerships, and growing a profitable operation.
If you are a hands-on leader who enjoys creating culture, developing people, solving complex service challenges, and building a business, this role gives you the chance to put your stamp on a branch and grow your career with a company that has invested in its people for nearly 100 years.
Create a strong Beaverton identity and team culture that is distinct from the Portland branch while aligned with Sprague values, service standards, and shared regional goals.
Establish clear team rhythms, communication, expectations, and accountability so employees know where the branch is headed and how they contribute.
Build connection across a geographically varied service area, creating one team rather than separate pockets of employees or territories.
Coach team members, identify emerging leaders, and build a bench that can support future branch growth.
Recruit, onboard, and develop people who strengthen both capability and culture.
Own branch profitability, including budget development, P&L management, cost control, and smart investment in people and resources.
Use financial, operational, and service metrics to identify opportunities, solve problems, and improve results.
Plan staffing, scheduling, routing, and resources across Washington, Clackamas, Lincoln, and Tillamook county markets as the business grows.
Build operating consistency while staying flexible enough to serve dense metro accounts, industrial environments, and rural/coastal clients.
Build trusted partnerships across a varied commercial portfolio, adapting service and leadership to the needs of technology, semiconductor and advanced manufacturing, logistics, food production, agriculture, hospitality, maritime, seafood, dairy, forestry, and other commercial environments.
Partner with sales and account management to pursue profitable opportunities that fit Sprague’s value proposition and the needs of each local market.
Bring a solutions-focused approach to complex client environments, including multi-location accounts and businesses with rigorous quality, documentation, or audit expectations.
Develop local relationships and market knowledge that strengthen Beaverton’s reputation and create sustainable growth.
Set clear expectations for service quality, safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental responsibility.
Maintain audit-ready practices and hold leaders accountable for consistent execution.
Identify risk early and use continuous improvement to strengthen the branch as it grows.
Pests pose a serious threat to public health and our world’s food supply. Food-borne illnesses as a result of bacteria transmitted by pests sicken millions of people annually. Sprague’s highly trained and dedicated team is driven to design and deliver pest management programs using the latest technology and products to safeguard people, property, and food, and leave the smallest environmental footprint.
Working for Sprague means passionately delivering uncompromising service. We focus on our commitment to our clients and ourselves; consistency, accountability, respect; teamwork among co-workers, our clients, and the community; and environmental responsibility in our approach to pest prevention.
