Job Details

Branch Manager – Building Automation Systems (BAS)
Location: Nashville, TN

About the Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead the operations, growth, and development of our Nashville location. This is an opportunity for a motivated leader with a strong background in Building Automation Systems (BAS/DDC), HVAC controls, and operational management to take ownership of a growing market.
The Branch Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, project execution, team development, customer relationships, and overall branch performance. This position requires someone who can balance technical expertise, operational leadership, and business development while helping establish a strong presence in the Nashville market.
As the branch continues to grow, you will play a key role in expanding the team, improving operational processes, developing customer relationships, and driving long-term profitability.
We are looking for someone who is hands-on, entrepreneurial, technically knowledgeable, and comfortable taking ownership of a growing operation.

What You'll Do
  • Lead all day-to-day operations of the Nashville branch, including project delivery, service operations, staffing, and customer relationships.
  • Oversee BAS/DDC projects from initial planning through installation, programming, commissioning, and final turnover.
  • Manage project schedules, manpower allocation, budgets, subcontractors, and overall execution.
  • Provide technical leadership and support for BAS programming, troubleshooting, commissioning, and system integration.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop technicians, programmers, engineers, and project management personnel as the branch expands.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, mechanical contractors, engineers, general contractors, and industry partners.
  • Support business development efforts, including identifying new opportunities, estimating, proposals, and expanding existing accounts.
  • Take responsibility for branch financial performance, including revenue growth, profitability, budgets, and operational efficiency.
  • Establish and improve processes, workflows, and best practices to support consistent project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with company leadership to establish growth objectives and execute the long-term strategy for the Nashville market.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to company quality standards.

What We're Looking For
  • Strong background in Building Automation Systems (BAS), DDC controls, HVAC controls, or building automation integration.
  • Previous experience in branch management, operations management, project management, service management, or technical leadership within the BAS/HVAC controls industry.
  • Solid understanding of BAS project execution, including design, programming, installation, commissioning, and service.
  • Experience managing teams, coordinating resources, and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Understanding of branch financial performance, project budgets, profitability, and operational planning.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment, control sequences, and building automation networks.
  • Experience developing customer relationships and identifying opportunities for business growth.
  • Ability to recruit, mentor, and develop technical personnel.
  • Comfortable working in a growing branch where hands-on involvement and flexibility are essential.
  • Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently and take ownership of results.

Experience with platforms such as Reliable Controls, Niagara, Schneider Electric, Automated Logic, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Trane, Distech, Delta Controls, Honeywell, or similar BAS/DDC systems is a plus.

Why This Role? : This is an opportunity to lead and grow a Nashville branch with the support, resources, and stability of an established building automation company.
Unlike a traditional branch management position focused solely on maintaining existing operations, this role offers the opportunity to shape the future of the local business. You'll have a direct impact on hiring, operational strategy, customer relationships, revenue growth, and the overall success of the Nashville market.
For someone who enjoys combining technical leadership, business operations, and team development, this position offers the autonomy and opportunity to build a successful operation while growing alongside the company.
