Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join a growing fabrication team in Sapulpa. This position is responsible for setting up and operating press brakes and other fabrication equipment to manufacture precision metal components according to engineering drawings and customer specifications.
The ideal candidate has previous press brake experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to producing high-quality work while maintaining a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.
Required Experience & Skills
Minimum 1 year of press brake operating experience required
Experience operating overhead cranes and power tools
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, bills of materials, and work instructions (or willingness to learn)
Proficiency using precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and tape measures
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to read and write basic shop communications
Dependable, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented
Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Inspect incoming materials and verify grade, type, and dimensions against engineering drawings before production
Set up and operate press brakes to manufacture parts according to specifications
Operate fabrication equipment including shears, rolls, angle lines, plasma tables, saws, drills, and Voortman machinery
Perform routine machine adjustments and basic preventative maintenance
Use calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other precision measuring tools to ensure parts meet quality standards
Maintain production output in accordance with work instructions and company expectations
Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and fabrication processes
Participate in 5S housekeeping and workplace organization initiatives
Work collaboratively with production personnel to meet project deadlines and manufacturing goals
Recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, and workplace safety
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in structural steel or heavy fabrication environments
Familiarity with CNC press brake equipment
Experience reading fabrication blueprints and engineering drawings
Knowledge of metal fabrication processes and quality inspection procedures
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Ability to safely operate fabrication equipment while wearing required PPE
Comfortable working around heavy machinery, moving equipment, and industrial production operations
Work Environment
Heavy industrial fabrication and manufacturing facility
Exposure to press brakes, overhead cranes, fabrication machinery, and production equipment
