A company in Grand Rapids is seeking a Brake Press Operator.

Shift: days Monday-Thursday 5:00a-3:00pm some Fridays

Pay: $21/hr.

Job Duties

· Operate the Brake Press and other machinery used in the production process, or assist other machine operators.

· Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators.

· Select proper die clearances based on material requirements.

· Set up tooling, load programs, and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.

· Determine condition of tools and point of re-sharpening.

· Work in a fast paced environment with fast changing priorities.

· Keep work area clean and organized.

· Follow all company rules and policies.

· Demonstrate a keen attention to detail and a task-focused approach. Verify the dimensions of work pieces, seeking first-piece inspection approval. Conduct regular quality inspections throughout production to ensure high standards. Skillfully identify, analyze, and address specific causes for rejected parts, contributing to a seamless and efficient production process.

At least 2 years of proven Brake Press operation. · Brake Press set up experience is a Must. · Must be capable to read micrometers, calipers, and tape measure. · Experience with Amada Press Brake machines preferred, but not required
