Job Summary
Brake press Operators at Martinrea Industrial are primarily responsible for the production of parts and assemblies that meet customer requirements in quality and output in a safe fashion.
Required Education & Experience
Experience with Metal Fabrication an asset
Ability to read drawings, blueprints and specifications
Ability to use Tape Measure, Vernier and other measuring tools
Ability to identify and change Brake Press tools
Ability to work independently or with supervision
Capable to lift up to 50lbs from ground to table level
Mathematical aptitude
Essential Functions/Competency Level
Must work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, Martinrea Industrial rules, policies and procedures
Must use or wear equipment, protective devices or clothing as required by Martinrea
Must ensure machine safety rules are followed (light curtains, guarding, etc.
Ensure all tasks are performed in the allotted time provided
Assure that 1st off/1st Part is inspected and meets Quality Assurance requirements
Bend parts according to provided drawings and specifications
Completion of data entry and/or paperwork as required
Program, set up Machines to meet customer requirements in output and quality
Interface with Quality and Engineering
Maintain proper Martinrea housekeeping standards
Must notify lead hand and/or supervisors of all dysfunctional and/or unsafe equipment or work practices
All other duties as assigned by Supervisors and Managers
Responsible to adhere to all Health and Safety programs in accordance the OSHA.
Ensure that your work environment is clean, tidy organized and a safe workplace at all times.
