Title: Brake Press Operator - 3rd Shift
Location: Henrico, VA
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Shift : 3rd Shift | 11p - 7a
Compensation: $27/hr - $31/hr DOE

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Machine Brake Operator to join a manufacturing team on 3rd shift. This role is responsible for setting up and operating press brake machinery to bend metal components according to technical drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate will ensure precision forming of parts, maintain quality standards, and support efficient production in a fast-paced industrial environment. 

Job Duties: 

  • Interpret technical drawings to determine bend angles, dimensions, and tolerances
  • Set up and operate press brake machines to form metal sheets and components
  • Monitor machine operation to ensure accuracy and consistency during production runs
  • Inspect finished parts using measuring tools to verify compliance with specifications
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues such as machine errors, tooling problems, or material defects
  • Perform routine maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, and basic tooling inspection
  • Ensure proper machine setup and adjustment for different bending operations
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records as required
  • Follow all safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1–2 years of press brake or metal fabrication experience required
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
  • Strong understanding of press brake operation and metal forming processes
  • Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic machine or production issues
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy materials as needed
  • Willingness to work 3rd shift and adapt to production demands
