Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned worksite. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from the worksite. Lead Brake Controls Software application engineer with in-house and supplier software of safety critical electronic brake systems. Manage Brake Controls software and calibration deliveries (Coordination with supplier and in-house brake controls teams, program builds, Service software updates, Over-The-Air (OTA) software updates, and Change Management). Guide electronic brake booster and electronic park brake supplier partners through the Ford Global Product Development System (GPDS). Verify all software requirements are met at the appropriate milestone during development of the program. Deliver software work packages through the software change management process. Resolve all brake controls software issues found during program development along with current production warranty investigations. Work with Cross-Module network communication implementation. Ensure compliance to Central Software requirements (ASPICE). Lead Software Technical Design Reviews (TDRs). Investigate Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) issues including Quality Early Detection (QED). Support service manual development. Support driver assist features. Support the Breadboard/HiL. Support prototype vehicle builds. Support assembly plant End-of-line (EOL) setup and issue resolution. Domestic and International Travel Required up to 10%.
