Varsity Baseball Coach Royal Oak High School

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Minimum, HS Diploma or equivalent
2. 18 years or older
3. Exceptional organizational and communication skills
4. Proven values and core beliefs that are consistent with our school community
5. Basic knowledge of the rules, regulations and fundamentals of the sport to teach skills as it pertains to the sport
6. Successful Head or Assistant coaching experience required
7. Experience working with high school age students

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Knowledge and ability to carry out the rules of MHSAA and Royal Oak School District
2. Maintaining inventory and care for team uniforms and equipment
3. Create and maintain a program of excellence that is positive, safe, educational and sportsmanlike
4. Organize and plan regular season practice and training
5. Supervise assistant coaching staff
6. Work with parent booster club to support the program
7. Foster positive relationships with parents and community members
8. Develop a schedule in cooperation with the Athletic Department and the O.A.A.
9. Work with Athletic Department and Athletic Director to foster growth of program numbers
10. Work directly with Royal Oak Middle School Baseball program as well as other community baseball organizations to develop the program
11. Develop off-season training programs

SALARY: Appropriate placement on ROEA Supplemental Schedule B

REPORTS TO: Athletic Director and Building Principal
