Job Summary & Qualifications:
Core Coaching Qualifications
- Soccer coaching experience Prior experience coaching high school, club, or collegiate soccer with a record of player development and program building.
- Technical and tactical knowledge Deep understanding of modern systems of play, positional roles, training periodization, and match analysis.
- Player development philosophy Clear approach to growing athletes across technical, tactical, physical, and mental dimensions.
- Practice planning skills Ability to design progressive, engaging, and age-appropriate training sessions aligned to season goals.
Educational & Certification Requirements
- MN coaching certification Completion of Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) coaching requirements.
- CPR/First Aid training Current certification for emergency response.
- NFHS coursework Concussion training, sportsmanship modules, and sport-specific coursework.
- Background check clearance Required for all school-based positions.

- Program leadership Ability to build a unified program across varsity, JV, and lower levels.
- Communication skills Clear, consistent communication with players, families, staff, and administration.

Compensation
Seasonal stipend varies on role, please see Schedule C of the BPS Teacher Contract for rates.
