    Requirements / Qualifications

    CPR/First Aid/AED certification. CIF-required coaching education and/or certification. Concussion and head injury awareness training. Sudden cardiac arrest prevention training. Heat illness prevention training. Mandated reporter training. Other District-required employee or athletic safety training.

    Experience and/or knowledge in Basketball. Ability to effectively coach, teach, motivate, and supervise high school students. Knowledge of sport-specific rules, techniques, strategies, and safety practices. Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, staff, and community members. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and other non-traditional hours as required by the athletic schedule. Ability to maintain a safe, respectful, and positive athletic environment. Completion of all legally required and District-required coaching certifications and training.
