We seek a box truck driver to make local and regional deliveries out of our Edison, NJ facility. This position is a Monday thorugh Friday with no weekends and no overnights.Some paid overtime may be required. You will be driving a 24 foot straight truck with a liftgate .
Truck Driver Responsibilities:
• Drivers are responsible for loading, unloading and delivering major household appliances (Appliances include, but not limited to, refrigerators, ranges, chest freezers and more)
• Pick up transfer merchandise at NY warehouse and other locations.
• Assist the warehouse team with the loading trucks for same day.
• Collect COD's as directed.
• Check merchandise against bills of lading for accuracy.
• Fill out log books and comply with DOT regulations at all times.
• Daily inspection of vehicle for safety.
• Attend driver training classes as offered by the company.
• Stay current on motor vehicle rules and regulations.
• Keep vehicle clean and well maintained.
• Report any safety or vehicle deficiencies to management.
• Other relater duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
• High school graduate
• CDL Class A or B required with current medical card
• 3 years driving Class A or B vehicles
