Job Title: Box Maker (2 Openings: 1st Shift & 3rd Shift)
Location: Erlanger, KY 41018-0000
Pay Rate: $18.00 $19.00 / hour (1st Shift: $18.00/hr | 3rd Shift: $19.00/hr)
Work Schedule:
- 1st Shift: Monday Friday, 6:00 AM 2:30 PM (with 2 mandatory weekends)
- 3rd Shift: Sunday Thursday, 10:00 PM 6:30 AM (with 2 mandatory weekends)
Position Overview
Reporting to the Packaging Supervisor, the Box Maker is responsible for assembling, inspecting, and supplying corrugated boxes to support safe, efficient packaging operations throughout the plant.Job Specifications
- Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble corrugated boxes according to production specifications.
- Inspect boxes for quality, proper labeling, and structural integrity.
- Supply finished boxes to packaging lines in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with GMP standards.
- Follow all safety, food safety, and quality policies.
- Report damaged materials, equipment issues, or safety concerns to supervision.
- Assist with other packaging or production tasks as assigned, including cleaning various work areas throughout the facility.
- Qualifications & Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
- Requires frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and twisting while standing for extended periods of time.
- Basic math and counting skills, with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Must comply with GMP requirements, including PPE, hygiene, and dress code standards.
- Preferred Skills:
- Prior manufacturing or packaging experience.
- Familiarity with food or ingredient production environments.
- Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, odors, and temperature variations.
- Required use of PPE (safety shoes, hair/beard nets, hearing and eye protection, lab coats, bump caps, etc.).
- Work is repetitive in nature and requires patience, consistency, and the ability to stay engaged in a routine-based role.
