Duties & Responsibilities
- Builds specialty boxes for any product that does not fit into a standard shipping container.
- Maintains a safe workspace while operating power tools in the woodworking area.
- Communicates closely with Shipping, Operations, and other Manufacturing personnel to obtain required crates needed on a daily basis.
- Safely operates a company-rented motor vehicle in accordance with all applicable state and local traffic laws.
- Maintains a log book for the company-rented box truck.
- Receives daily route instructions from management, including local or long-distance delivery runs.
- Loads and unloads assigned delivery vehicle.
- Ensures all deliveries and pick-up items are properly accounted for and all necessary documentation is processed in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensures proper care of company-rented vehicle and reports and damages or repairs to EHS and Supply Chain Manager.
- Communicates completed delivery times to Shipping and Receiving.
- Operates forklift.
- Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
- Must be willing and able to work overtime as necessary.
- Acceptable attendance is an essential function of the position.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required by the position.
