Description

Kingpin Lanes is looking for a high-energy, customer- focused individual to become its next Bowling Manager. Built in 2005, Kingpin is the premier bowling venue in Kentucky and Southern Indiana with over fifty lanes, mini bowling, lounge and arcade all in 65,000 square feet of facility.

The Bowling Manager will report to the General Manager and Assistant Manager on the development and growth of the business. In addition, the Bowling Manager will have leadership responsibilities for daily operations during their shifts. They will work with Service Leads to complete tasks and take care of customers. They will also be a part of the management team making business decisions on operation, staffing, and overall business. The top priority of this position is to ensure great customer experience.

Prior bowling management experience is beneficial but not required. Great customer service skills are a requirement and ability to work in a challenging environment. Work hours will primarily be 2nd shift, with nights and weekends being the majority of opportunities for hours. Some daytime work is available, and needs can shift throughout the year.


Duties & Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day management of the business

Opening and closing of the facility as well as staff shift changeovers

Handling and counting money responsibility and filling out some check out paperwork

Provide operational and customer service training to staff members

Addressing employee performance with staff and giving employee performance reviews

Lead by example; facilitating a team environment

Participate in and lead staff and leadership meetings

Deliver excellent level of customer service

Aid in the completion of inventory, and staff scheduling / hiring

Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned by the GM

Help to facilitate any customer or employee incidents to a resolution and document them


Prior experience preferences; job skills

Experience in the food and beverage/hospitality industry is not a requirement but is preferred

Desire to work in a challenging environment and to deliver excellent customer service


Flexibility

Availability of working nights, weekends, as well as some holidays


Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand on feet for extended periods

Must be able to lift 20lbs

Must be able to walk frequently

Compensation

$18-21 an hour depending on experience and skill

Ability to partake in some additional tips and time and a half holiday pay
