Borescope Inspection Specialist

A day in this role

Your shift begins with a quick check of your borescope kit. You verify calibration, ensure optics are clean, and confirm the device is ready for precise visual access to hard-to-reach areas. Then you move to the production floor, where your trained eye and steady hands guide the scope through components to detect surface defects, burrs, foreign object debris, or dimensional concerns. You capture images, annotate findings, and record detailed notes that feed our quality management system.

Midday, you partner with engineering to review a nonconformance trend, translating what you saw into actionable improvements. You suggest a tweak to a quality control step, help update a work instruction, and return to the line to validate the change. Before wrapping up, you perform routine maintenance on your borescope, log calibration data, and scan the latest updates to industry standards so tomorrow is even more precise than today.

What you will do

• Execute thorough borescope inspections to verify product quality and integrity.
• Document inspection outcomes, images, and traceable records of all findings.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and production to resolve quality issues.
• Calibrate and maintain borescope tools to ensure repeatable, reliable results.
• Assist in creating and rolling out quality control procedures and work instructions.
• Offer data-driven feedback to drive continuous process improvements.
• Stay current with quality assurance standards and best practices, including ISO 9001.

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma/certification preferred.
• Hands-on experience with borescope inspection or similar visual/NDT techniques.
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical problem-solving.
• Comfort working independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001) is a plus.
