BookkeeperPosition SummaryThe Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization. This role ensures timely processing of financial transactions, maintains organized accounting records, and assists with month-end and year-end procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to accuracy while demonstrating a desire to learn and grow within the accounting profession.Essential ResponsibilitiesAccounts PayableProcess vendor invoices accurately and timely.Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices.Prepare weekly payment runs via check, ACH, or electronic payment.Maintain vendor files and W-9 documentation.Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.Respond to vendor inquiries professionally.Accounts ReceivablePrepare and distribute customer invoices.Record customer payments and deposits.Monitor outstanding receivables and assist with collections.Maintain accurate customer account records.General BookkeepingRecord daily financial transactions.Maintain the general ledger through accurate journal entries.Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts.Assist with monthly closing procedures.Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation.Prepare recurring financial reports for management.Payroll SupportAssist with payroll processing and recordkeeping.Maintain employee payroll documentation.Ensure payroll transactions are accurately recorded.Desired QualificationsAssociate degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting support experience preferred.Working knowledge of bookkeeping principles and accounting practices.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.Experience using accounting software.Strong organizational and time management skills.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to maintain confidentiality with financial information.Strong written and verbal communication skills.
