Bookkeeper Responsibilities

• 
  

• Maintain accurate books and records for multiple clients

  
  
• 
  

• Record and classify daily financial transactions, including income and expenses

  
  
• 
  

• The Bookkeeper will manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

  
  
• 
  

• Perform monthly bank, credit card, and account reconciliations

  
  
• 
  

• Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets

  
  
• 
  

• Post journal entries and make necessary account adjustments

  
  
• 
  

• The Bookkeeper will assist with month-end and year-end close activities

  
  
• 
  

• Review general ledger accounts for accuracy and resolve discrepancies

  
  
• 
  

• Prepare financial reports and bookkeeping schedules for clients and internal use

  
  
• 
  

• Assist with sales tax filings and other accounting-related reporting

  
  
• 
  

• Communicate with clients to obtain financial information and resolve bookkeeping questions

• The Bookkeeper will maintain organized and accurate client records and supporting documentation

Qualifications of the Bookkeeper Role

• 
  

• 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a CPA firm or public accounting environment

  
  
• 
  

• QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online experience preferred

  
  
• 
  

• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial statements

  
  
• 
  

• Experience with multiple clients or entities preferred

  
  
• 
  

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

  
  
• 
  

• Bilingual in Spanish and English required

  
  
• 
  

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
