Key Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper- Perform bank reconciliations, cash reconciliations, and maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities
- Process cash receipts, journal entries, accounts payable activities, and support accounts receivable functions
- Assist with semi-monthly payroll processing for approximately 70-80 employees, including payroll review and workers' compensation support
- Import data from POS systems into the accounting platform, verify information, and ensure accuracy of financial reporting
- Support a phased training process, beginning with cash receipts and progressing into accounts payable and payroll responsibilities
Qualifications for the Bookkeeper- Minimum of 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Experience with bank reconciliations and transactional accounting functions such as AP, AR, payroll, or cash management
- Comfortable using Excel for reconciliations and maintaining financial records in a multi-entity environment
