Bookkeeper
BBSI's client, a growing local telecommunications company, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage the company's day-to-day accounting and financial operations. This position will own the company's bookkeeping, payroll administration, contract management, insurance administration, and critical business recordkeeping. The ideal candidate enjoys creating order, takes pride in accuracy, and proactively manages deadlines before they become problems. We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, and enjoys helping a growing company stay on top of the details
Pay Rate: $23/hour
Other Details: In-person, Full-Time, 90-day temp-to-hire

Successful Candidates will bring:
- Experience in accounting and processing payroll.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
- Proactive mindset with strong written and verbal communication and problem solving skills.
- History of being punctual, having good work attendance, and mutual team respect
What you will be doing:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Administer the company's payroll process accurately and timely.
- Maintain payroll records, employee deductions, benefit withholdings, and payroll reporting.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts and maintain accurate records and supporting documents.
- Prepare deposits and accurately record financial transactions.
- Prepare financial reports and summaries for management.
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities.
- Track contract renewal dates, expiration dates, notice periods, and other important deadlines.
- Coordinate employee benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations.
- Maintain company insurance records and assist with certificates of insurance as needed.
- Coordinate with insurance providers, brokers, and benefit administrators when required.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial, employee, and company information.
- Take ownership of additional accounting and administrative responsibilities as the company grows and business needs evolve.
