Position SummaryThe BOH Assistant Manager helps lead the kitchen team and keep daily kitchen operations running smoothly. This is a hands-on role that includes cooking, prep, training, food safety, and making sure the team is ready for service.

Responsibilities

• Help lead BOH staff during shifts
• Assign and organize prep
• Make sure food is prepared correctly and on time
• Help maintain food quality, portioning, and consistency
• Train and support BOH employees
• Monitor food safety, temperatures, labeling, and storage
• Help with opening and closing responsibilities
• Keep the kitchen clean and organized
• Help manage inventory and communicate product needs
• Step into any BOH position when needed
• Communicate problems or staffing concerns to management
• Support catering and special-event prep when needed

Qualifications

• Kitchen experience required
• Leadership experience preferred
• Reliable and organized
• Comfortable leading and coaching staff
• Strong understanding of food safety
• Weekends availablity mandatory 
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• ServSafe preferred
