    Body Shop Technician Responsibilities:

    • Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
    • Repair truck body damage.
    • Install aftermarket parts.
    • Repair damage to vehicles as necessary and within the guidelines established at time of repair approval.
    • Interacts with dealership personnel and customers.
    • Look for and report any and all hidden damage observed during the repair process.
    • Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
    • Save and tag parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by thecustomer.
    • Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
    • If tech has a CDL road testing vehicles may be required.
    • Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
    • Attain industry certifications as required.
    • Keep abreast of manufacturer updates and technical bulletins.
    • Mentor less-skilled technicians as assigned.
    • Report machinery and equipment defects and malfunctions to department management.
    • Keep shop area neat and clean.
    • Maintain and be accountable for all dealership-owned tools and equipment including returning to proper storage location when done.
    • Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as EPA, OSHA, and DOT.
    • Work in a safe manner at all times.
    • Report any safety issues to management immediately.
    • Perform other duties as assigned
