    Description

    Duties/Responsibilities:
    • Perform vehicle body maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive customer loyalty.
    • Determine any additional needed repairs.
    • Stay current in the latest methods and service techniques across several brands; stay informed of latest bulletins, service manuals and other service publications.
    • Participate in training activities; attend factory-sponsored training, if needed.
    • Communicate with the parts/paint department to obtain materials.
    • Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.
    • Communicate regularly with manager/dispatcher to confirm repair order information and progress information.
    • Communicate effectively/notify the manager/dispatcher of timeline needed.
    • Notify the manager immediately if repairs can’t be completed within the time promised.
    • Document all work performed on the RO.
    • Maintain the highest possible standards of workmanship; perform quality checks.
    • Supervise the work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
    • Ensure that customers’ cars are kept clean and are only driven for business purposes.
    • Keep the shop area neat, clean; must always account for all dealership-owned tools.
    • Meet customer service standards with every customer during any interactions.
    • Follow established safety protocols; report any shop equipment in improper working condition; immediately report safety incidents.
    • Understand, keep informed of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know.
    • Understand manufacture(s) warranty policy and follow all rules accordingly.
    • Safeguard dealership assets and all customer data.
    • Complete all required training assigned through the company training portal.
    • Adhere to consistent and reliable work schedule.
    • Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions to uphold the Automotive brand.
    • Clean work area prior to going home at night.
    • Complete other duties as assigned.
     
    Required Skills/Abilities:
    Perform Inspections and body builds on all vehicles that come into the dealership.
     
    Education and Experience:
    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Graduate of vocational trade school or equivalent experience required.
    • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
