The primary role of the Reconditioning Technician is to perform a variety of tasks that will overhaul, rebuild and renovate the vehicle to bring the condition of the exterior and interior back to a presentable condition.
Perform paint-less dent removal (PDR) Ex: doors, fenders, roofs, and hoods
Inspect vehicle/inventory repair minor door dings and dents as needed for dealership and customers
Wash/dye interior (carpets/leather etc.)
Must be able to perform wheel and or rim repair/refinishing
Painting of small items such as bumpers, hoods, mirrors etc
Examine damaged vehicles to estimate repair procedures
Complete work in accordance with applicable safety requirements
Perform work as outlined on repair orders
Complete proper documentation and record keeping on repair orders
Perform proper tool and equipment usage and maintenance
Inspect vehicles on dealership lots for PDR repairs
Continuously expanding your knowledge for new technologies and practice
Use a computer to utilize factory software to send service details to service advisors
Work as a team along with the estimators communicating clients vehicle needs
Previous PDR/reconditioning tech experience required
Degree in collision repair, automotive technology or military equivalent experience
Other duties to be determined by management
Must have basic tools
Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age
Must have a valid Drivers License
Must be able to pass pre-employment screen(background & drug test)
