Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned worksite. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from the worksite. Lead the CAE analysis of next generation Model e products, in one or more of the following areas: Closures and Body Exteriors. Work with D&R engineers to drive design resolutions using both linear and non-linear CAE analysis. Develop component, system and vehicle level CAE models and complete analysis following Ford CAE modeling/analysis guidelines. Direct other analysts to create CAE models and run analysis. Conduct DOE studies utilizing optimization tools to meet performance requirements within the constraints of conflicting attributes such as cost and mass. Develop CAE based countermeasures to meet requirements and work with program members to develop design proposals that meet cost and weight targets.
