What We Offer
The Board Governance Coordinator provides high-level administrative, operational, and project support for Novant Health's Board Governance function and serves as a key support partner to the Vice President & Chief Board Governance Officer. This role plays an important part in ensuring Board of Trustees and committee meetings are thoughtfully planned, organized, and executed while providing a high level of service to trustees, executive leaders, and other senior stakeholders.
This is a fast-paced, highly visible role that requires an exceptional level of organization, attention to detail, discretion, and independent judgment. The Coordinator manages a wide range of responsibilities related to Board and committee meetings, often balancing long-term planning with last-minute, high-priority needs. The successful candidate will be someone who can anticipate needs, confidently manage competing priorities, and take ownership of their work while knowing when to escalate issues or seek guidance.
The Board Governance Coordinator will develop a deep understanding of the Board Governance function, Board meeting processes, and the unique needs of individual committees. The Coordinator will support the full meeting lifecycle, from detailed logistical planning and preparation through execution and follow-up.
Work Schedule & Location
This is a full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. hybrid position. The role may be based in Charlotte or Winston-Salem, North Carolina, with a preference for Charlotte.
Because Board and committee meetings may occasionally occur outside of standard business hours, flexibility to support meetings and related activities outside the normal 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. schedule is required.
