Job Requirements.

  • EducationRequirements: Master’s degree (or higher) in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, Special Education, or a closely related field.
  • CertificationsRequirements: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required.
  • ExperienceRequirements: Minimum 0 years of experience required; school-based or district experience preferred. Ability to develop behavior intervention plans (BIPs), conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs), and implement data-driven behavior supports.
  • OtherRequirements: Active BCBA License (must-have). Ability to work a district-wide BCBA assignment across school sites as needed. Strong collaboration and communication skills to partner with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to manage a school-day schedule (up to 37.5 hours/week) and maintain accurate, timely documentation.

JobResponsibilities:
  • Provide district-wide BCBA support across assigned school sites within Lake Stevens School District, partnering with staff to deliver consistent, effective behavior services.
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop, implement, and update Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) aligned with student needs and school goals.
  • Analyze behavioral data, monitor progress, and adjust interventions using evidence-based ABA strategies and measurable outcomes.
  • Train, coach, and support teachers, paraeducators, and school teams on behavior strategies, de-escalation techniques, and fidelity of implementation.
  • Collaborate with families, special education teams, and related service providers to ensure coordinated student supports and clear communication.
