Position Summary
Spectrum Analytic Consulting is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and highly motivated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join its clinical team in Sacramento, California. This full-time position provides clinical leadership and oversight of behavioral health services for autistic children and their families.

The BCBA is responsible for conducting behavioral assessments, developing and monitoring individualized treatment plans, providing direct clinical services, and supervising Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Behavioral Therapy Interns. The position combines office-based clinical and administrative responsibilities with travel to clients' homes and other approved service locations throughout the greater Sacramento area.

Responsibilities:
Clinical Assessment & Treatment
  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments, functional behavior assessments, skills assessments, and other evaluations appropriate to client needs.
  • Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment and behavior intervention plans based on assessment findings, client needs, family priorities, and clinical goals.
  • Establish measurable treatment goals addressing communication, social, adaptive, behavioral, learning, and daily living skills.
  • Monitor client progress through direct observation, data analysis, caregiver feedback, and ongoing clinical assessment.
  • Modify treatment plans and intervention strategies based on client progress and clinical data.
  • Provide direct clinical services and consultation when appropriate.
  • Ensure services reflect current principles and practices of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and applicable professional standards.
Supervision & Staff Development
  • Provide ongoing clinical supervision and direction to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Behavioral Therapy Interns.
  • Observe staff delivering services in client homes, community settings, and other approved locations to ensure treatment fidelity and quality.
  • Train RBTs and interns on treatment protocols, data collection, behavior intervention strategies, documentation, professional conduct, and client safety.
  • Provide constructive feedback, coaching, and professional development to strengthen staff performance and clinical competencies.
  • Conduct individual and group supervision sessions as appropriate.
  • Monitor supervisee performance and address clinical or performance concerns in collaboration with organizational leadership.
  • Ensure RBT supervision is provided and documented in accordance with applicable Behavior Analyst Certification Board requirements.
  • Support interns and emerging professionals in developing foundational competencies in ABA and behavioral health services.
Client & Family Support
  • Build collaborative relationships with clients, parents, caregivers, and families.
  • Provide caregiver education and training to support the consistent implementation of treatment strategies across environments.
  • Communicate client progress, treatment recommendations, and changes in services clearly and professionally.
  • Incorporate family priorities, cultural considerations, client preferences, and individual strengths into treatment planning.
  • Respond appropriately to clinical concerns and collaborate with families to address barriers to treatment participation and progress.
Clinical Documentation & Quality Assurance
  • Review treatment data and documentation to evaluate progress toward established goals.
  • Complete assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, clinical notes, supervision documentation, and other required records accurately and within established timelines.
  • Review RBT and intern documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with clinical standards.
  • Support quality assurance activities and implementation of clinical best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with organizational policies, HIPAA requirements, funding requirements, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Participate in case reviews, clinical meetings, staff meetings, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Program & Team Collaboration
  • Collaborate with organizational leadership to maintain consistent, high-quality clinical services.
  • Assist with developing clinical procedures, staff training materials, treatment protocols, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with other professionals involved in the client's care when appropriate and authorized.
  • Support effective communication between clinical supervisors, RBTs, interns, families, and administrative staff.
  • Identify clinical service needs and recommend improvements that strengthen client outcomes and service delivery.
Required Qualifications:
  • Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
  • Master's degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis, psychology, education, special education, behavioral science, or a related field.
  • Meet all applicable California requirements for providing behavior analytic services.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis principles, behavioral assessment, treatment planning, data analysis, and behavior intervention.
  • Experience developing and overseeing individualized treatment plans for autistic children and/or children with developmental disabilities.
  • Experience supervising RBTs, behavior technicians, interns, or other behavioral health professionals.
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to make data-informed treatment decisions.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a clinical and administrative team.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and protect confidential client and family information.
  • Ability to successfully complete required background checks and other clearances applicable to the position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two or more years of post-certification BCBA experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience providing ABA services in home, clinic, school, and/or community settings.
  • Experience supervising and developing RBTs and individuals pursuing careers in behavior analysis.
  • Experience providing caregiver and parent training.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary or interdisciplinary treatment teams.
  • Knowledge of insurance-funded or other publicly funded behavioral health service requirements is a plus.
