What you’ll do

  • Follow company safety policies and practices—always.
  • Start up production machines and verify set points throughout the run.
  • Operate a range of equipment: extrusion blow mold, extrusion machine, injection blow mold, injection mold, labelers, pad printers, and silk-screen systems.
  • Ensure proper operation: clean filters, execute minor maintenance, and monitor while purging.
  • Confirm the correct sleeves, boxes, labels, and materials by part number for each job.
  • Maintain M.O. Weight and Process Check Sheets consistently.
  • Conduct in-process quality inspections; compare samples to specifications and make adjustments.
  • Troubleshoot line problems and dial in machine settings as needed.
  • Alert your supervisor when repairs/maintenance are required; restart equipment after work is completed.
  • Complete documentation on issues, causes, and solutions; record production and quality data using manual/data collector methods and close out runs.
  • Maintain a clean, debris-free area and uphold housekeeping standards.
  • Help train other Technician Operators and provide relief for breaks and lunches.
  • Take on additional duties and special projects as assigned.

What you bring

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior plastics molding machine experience preferred.
  • Understanding of plastics manufacturing processes and related equipment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and technical training with packaging, plastics, and printing equipment.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong hand skills and attention to detail.
  • Success in fast-paced production environments.
  • Problem-solving mindset.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
