A leading healthcare organization in the Lexington, Kentucky area is looking for an experienced Blood Bank Manager to lead its Transfusion Services department!

Position Highlights:

• Full-time, permanent leadership position

• Oversee Blood Bank and Transfusion Services operations

• Opportunity to lead quality improvement and regulatory compliance initiatives

• Work in an established hospital laboratory environment

• Leadership role with responsibility for staff development and operational excellence

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily Blood Bank and Transfusion Services operations

• Ensure compliance with AABB, CAP, CLIA, and FDA standards

• Manage quality assurance, SOPs, and inspection readiness

• Lead process improvements and staff training

• Maintain laboratory quality and patient safety standards

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of leadership or quality management experience in an AABB/CAP-accredited transfusion service required

• Strong knowledge of blood bank operations and regulatory compliance

• Experience with laboratory information systems and blood bank software

• WellSky and EPIC experience preferred

• AABB Assessor experience preferred

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
