As a
Bioprocess Manufacturing Technician, you will help produce life-changing medicines in a highly automated and regulated manufacturing environment. You will operate equipment, follow production recipes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (
cGMP).
About the Role
This position is within the
Production Services team, a critical support function for manufacturing operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Weighing and aliquoting raw materials into intermediate bulk containers
- Preparing materials and kits for single-use manufacturing operations
- Mixing and preparing small-scale solutions
- Washing, autoclaving, and assembling equipment components and parts
- Supporting environmental monitoring activities throughout the facility
- Operating manufacturing equipment and computerized systems
- Completing batch records and manufacturing documentation
- Following cGMP, FDA, ISO, and company quality standards
- Working safely and maintaining compliance in a cleanroom environment
Manufacturing Environment
Manufacturing operations run 24/7 and support both upstream and downstream bioprocessing activities, including:
Upstream Manufacturing- Media preparation for cell growth
- Cell culture maintenance
- Setup and breakdown of stainless-steel bioreactors
Downstream Manufacturing- Buffer preparation
- Chromatography skid cleaning and steam-in-place operations
- Product purification and formulation support
Schedule & Shift Information
Candidates must be available to work any of the following shifts:
Day Shift
- 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday
Swing Shift
- 12:30 PM - 11:00 PM
- Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday
Training and onboarding may include several weeks of Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM training followed by hands-on shift training. Final shift assignments are based on business needs, production schedules, and candidate strengths.

Qualifications

- Experience with distributed control systems (DCS) or automated manufacturing equipment preferred
- Ability to pass all required cGMP certifications, training, and qualification requirements
- Must maintain annual qualification and training certifications
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Ability to climb up to six flights of stairs daily
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment while wearing required gowning, including uniforms, coveralls, gloves, safety shoes, and other PPE
- Must comply with cleanroom standards prohibiting jewelry, cosmetics, and certain personal items
Preferred Education & Experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering, or related technical disciplines preferred
- Experience in GMP-regulated environments highly desired
- Experience operating autoclaves, washers, process equipment, or manufacturing systems preferred
- Backgrounds from biotechnology, pharmaceutical, biomedical, chemical, food manufacturing, cosmetics, electronics, or medical device industries are encouraged to apply
