Advertising/Posting Title Biomedical Equipment Tech I Posting Summary

This role will repair, calibrate, install and perform preventive maintenance on a variety of high cost, complex medical instruments, at University of VT Medical Center.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Associate's degree in in Biomedical technology or electronics with three years related experience required. Valid driver's license or ability to obtain and driver's check may be required. Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Specific physical requirements may apply based on job functions. Effective communication, customer service and computer skills required.

Desirable Qualifications

Certification as a Biomedical Equipment Technician desirable

Anticipated Pay Range $24-$30 per hour Other Information Special Conditions Non-standard work hours required, A probationary period may be required, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), Travel to and from worksites required, This position is ineligible for telework due to the essential functions, Background Check required for this position, A post-offer pre-employment (POPE test) physical examination is required FLSA Non-Exempt Union Position Yes, UVMSU
