Advertising/Posting Title Biomedical Equipment Tech Posting Summary
Repair, calibrate, install, and perform preventive maintenance on a variety of complex medical instruments. Perform duties including repair service, performance inspection, and customer support in the management of clinical technology. May operate University Vehicle on/off campus when making site visits.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Associate's degree in a related or specialized field and one to two years' related experience required. Certification as Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) or ability to obtain required. A valid driver's license or ability to obtain and driver's check may be required.
Desirable Qualifications
Certification as a Biomedical Equipment Technician desirable.
Anticipated Pay Range $24-$32 per hour Other Information Special Conditions Non-standard work hours required, A probationary period may be required, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), Travel to and from worksites required, This position is ineligible for telework due to the essential functions, Background Check required for this position, A post-offer pre-employment (POPE test) physical examination is required FLSA Non-Exempt Union Position Yes, UVMSU
