Job Summary

Responsible for managing the daily operations of the biomedical department, including oversight of staff and workflows to ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery. Completes all required competencies within the designated introductory period and performs additional related duties as assigned. Reports to the Market BioMed Director.

Responsibilities

  • Sets strategic goals and objectives aligned with Carondelet Health Network priorities 
  • Develops and manages annual operating and capital budgets 
  • Oversees daily department operations and staff performance 
  • Makes informed, objective decisions supported by data and facts 
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies 
  • Promotes integrated, efficient, and high-quality service delivery 
  • Communicates effectively across all levels and with internal/external stakeholders 
  • Leads people management efforts including hiring, coaching, performance management, and staff development 
  • Maintains safe operations, oversees equipment maintenance, and ensures patient safety standards 
  • Optimizes resources, manages workflows, supports continuous improvement, and responds proactively to change and risks
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Education: Associate’s degree in Biomed or a related field, or equivalent military training/certification.
    • Experience: 7 years of progressive experience in Biomedical Department. 
  • Preferred Requirements:
    • Education: Bachelors Degree in Business
    • Experience: Supervisory experience
