    The Biomanufacturing Technician I is responsible for performing various manufacturing activities related to the start-up and GMP production of cellular products. This includes ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and associated guidelines. Candidates must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical requirements are part of the job.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Obtain and maintain qualifications necessary for aseptic activities.
    • Responsible for production, formulation, and banking of cellular products, including GMP, GDP, and aseptic processing.
    • Write GMP-required documents such as standard operating procedures and batch production records under supervision.
    • Support validation efforts related to the manufacturing process.
    • Participate in all aspects of manufacturing activities, including raw material support and cell culture.
    • Consistently practice appropriate clean room behaviors and maintain clean room areas.
    • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Ability to work in a clean room environment with potentially hazardous materials.
    • Proficiency in algebraic math.
    • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
    • Effective written and oral communication skills.
    • Professionalism and confidentiality.

    Preferences

    • Associate degree in a scientific field.
    • Zero to 1 year of applicable experience in biotech or cell therapy.
    • Completion of Charles River's internship program may be considered.
