    Bindery Operator

    Location: Arlington, TX

    Day Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM

    Pay: Competitive pay based on experience

    Pregis is seeking a skilled Operator II - Bindery to join our Arlington manufacturing team. In this role, you will help ensure printed products are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule while supporting a safe and productive work environment.

    This position is ideal for candidates with bindery, finishing, printing, packaging, or manufacturing experience who enjoy working with machinery, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to a team-focused production environment.

    What You'll Do

    As an Operator II - Bindery, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring multiple finishing machines while ensuring production, quality, and safety requirements are met.

    Production Operations

    • Set up, adjust, and operate bindery and finishing equipment
    • Manage and monitor two or more machines simultaneously
    • Ensure production schedules and customer delivery deadlines are met
    • Review job specifications and production requirements before processing work
    • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed
    • Maintain production output while meeting established productivity goals and KPIs
    • Accurately complete production documentation and job performance tickets

    Quality Assurance

    • Perform quality inspections throughout production runs
    • Verify finished products meet customer specifications and company standards
    • Follow required testing and quality control procedures
    • Identify and resolve quality issues before products move to the next stage of production
    • Maintain attention to detail throughout all finishing processes

    Equipment Operation & Maintenance

    • Learn and operate various fulfillment and bindery equipment

    • Assist with setup, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance activities

    • Operate equipment such as:

    • Drills

    • Stitchers

    • Vacuum tables

    • Finishing and fulfillment machinery

    • Identify equipment issues and communicate concerns promptly to minimize downtime

    Safety & Continuous Improvement

    • Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
    • Participate in safety initiatives and training programs
    • Support continuous improvement efforts focused on quality, efficiency, and waste reduction
    • Assist in the development and adherence to standard operating procedures

    What We're Looking For

    • Experience operating bindery, finishing, printing, packaging, or manufacturing equipment
    • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
    • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
    • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
    • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and other departments

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
    • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and material handling
    • Ability to lift and move moderately heavy materials
    • Ability to work safely around moving machinery and production equipment
    • Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

    Work Environment

    • Manufacturing and production facility
    • Fast-paced production environment
    • Exposure to moving equipment and machinery
    • Required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
    • Moderate to high noise levels
    • Team-oriented environment focused on quality and safety

    Education & Experience

    • High School Diploma or GED preferred
    • 3-5 years of progressive experience in a bindery, printing, finishing, packaging, or manufacturing environment
    • Experience operating and setting up production equipment preferred
    • Mechanical troubleshooting experience is a plus
