About the Role:
Nystrom Publishing Co is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Bindery Associate to join our production team in Maple Grove, MN. Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor bindery equipment including folders, cutters, saddle stitchers, and perfect binders
- Set up, adjust, and maintain bindery machinery to ensure accurate and efficient production runs
- Inspect finished products for quality control, checking for proper alignment, trimming, and binding integrity
- Feed, collate, and assemble printed materials according to job specifications
- Follow production schedules to meet deadlines and output targets
- Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance on bindery equipment
- Report equipment malfunctions or quality issues to supervisors promptly
- Prior experience in a bindery, print finishing, or print production environment preferred
- Familiarity with bindery equipment such as cutters, folders, stitchers, and laminators
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform equipment adjustments
- Ability to read and follow job tickets and production specifications
