Building Information Modeling (BIM) Coordinator
Location: Austin, TX

Position Overview
Foster CM Group is seeking an experienced Building Information Modeling (BIM) Coordinator to support the planning, design, and construction of complex capital improvement projects. The BIM Coordinator will oversee project model development, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage project data standards, and facilitate collaboration between design and construction stakeholders.
This position serves as a key liaison between architects, engineers, contractors, and owners to ensure BIM processes are effectively implemented throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise in digital construction technologies, model coordination, clash detection, and construction documentation.
Key Responsibilities
BIM Coordination & Model Management

• Coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models involving architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and specialty building systems.
• Facilitate model coordination meetings and assist project teams with issue resolution and constructability reviews.
• Maintain model accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project BIM execution plans.

Clash Detection & Quality Control

• Perform clash detection and model coordination reviews using Autodesk Navisworks Manage.
• Identify, document, and track design conflicts through resolution with project stakeholders.
• Conduct routine QA/QC reviews of BIM deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

Asset Data & Information Management

• Manage project asset information, metadata, and facility data requirements.
• Support COBie data development and validation for project turnover and facility management integration.
• Maintain organized digital project records and ensure consistency within Autodesk Construction Cloud (Client) and BIM 360 platforms.

Construction Technology & Project Support

• Assist project teams with construction sequencing, phasing, and The Client visualization efforts.
• Support field teams through model-based coordination and verification of installed work.
• Coordinate laser scan and point cloud integration to validate existing and as-built conditions.

Standards & Compliance

• Support implementation and enforcement of project BIM standards, workflows, and best practices.
• Review project models for compliance with owner standards, contractual requirements, and industry guidelines.
• Assist with developing BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), project workflows, and digital delivery strategies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field.
• Minimum three (3) years of BIM coordination experience supporting commercial, educational, healthcare, government, infrastructure, or institutional construction projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks Manage, and AutoCAD.
• Experience working within Autodesk Construction Cloud (Client) and/or BIM 360 environments.
• Knowledge of BIM workflows, clash detection, model management, and construction coordination practices.
• Experience with COBie data management and project closeout deliverables preferred.
• Familiarity with point cloud and laser scanning technologies preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Valid Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting K-12, higher education, healthcare, municipal, transportation, or public-sector projects.
• Knowledge of Revit family creation and standards development.
• Understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and The Client modeling concepts.
• Autodesk Certified Professional credentials are a plus.
