    Job SummaryThe Billing Verification Specialist is responsible for the daily verification of all patient demographics andinsurance for ambulance runs to be able to submit for coding of call and insurance or patient submission. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Verify the type of call that you are working on. You must know if the call is a 911 call from home,motor vehicle accident (MVA), workman's comp, hospice, hospital DRG, etc. Verify all patient information including name, date of birth, address, social security, patientsignature. Verify patient insurance information if provided. If not provided, search necessary data bases. Check all scripts/ECIN for any missing or needed information. Make any needed calls to patients, facilities or patient family members to obtain neededinformation not provided. Must verify Medicare Part A stays for all patients in skilled nursing facilities.
