The Billing Specialist will support the Accounting/Finance department, perform administrative tasks related to the processing of invoices and billing into a proprietary system. The duties may include assisting in the organization and management of projects. This position will also support other staff members within the department or organization.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Creates invoices in QuickBooks.
- Submits invoices to customers using proprietary system.
- Reconciles invoices and tracks to ensure payments are received.
- Ensures timely billing and receipt of payment.
- May performs account reconciliations as requested.
- Tracks invoices using Excel.
- Acts as main point of contact for assigned customer invoicing.
- May assist in project management.
- Creates Excel reports and worksheets as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills Required:
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
- Experience with accounting software programs is required, QuickBooks experience preferred.
- Strong organization and planning skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be a team player and self-starter.
- Must be flexible and detail oriented
- Must maintain strict confidentiality.
- Accounting experience in a telecommunications environment is desired.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in related field.
- One to two years accounting experience desired.
Physical Requirements:
- Alternate sitting and standing at will (sit/stand desk).
- Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Requires viewing a computer screen for long periods of time.
- May lift or carry small parcels, packages, and other items.
Pay Range: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour, DOE
