The Billing Specialist is responsible for reviewing and processing medical claims, verifying billing accuracy and documentation, resolving claim issues, and working with insurance payers to help ensure timely and accurate reimbursement.

OVERVIEW

As an lizur Billing Specialist, you will help ensure that the care and products provided to our patients are accurately documented, billed, and reimbursed. You will work closely with internal teams, healthcare providers, and insurance payers to review claims, identify potential billing issues, and ensure all required information is complete before claims are submitted.

In this role, attention to detail, organization, and follow-through are essential. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities, researching payer requirements, and resolving issues that could delay reimbursement.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Review and Process Medical Claims Accurately and Timely
• Verify Patient, Insurance, Coding, and Billing Information
• Review Medical Documentation for Billing Requirements
• Identify and Correct Claim Errors Prior to Submission
• Research and Resolve Rejected or Problematic Claims
• Communicate with Insurance Payers Regarding Claim Requirements and Status
• Work with Internal Teams to Obtain Missing Documentation or Information
• Maintain Accurate Documentation of Billing Activities and Follow-Up
• Follow Payer-Specific Medical Policies, Billing Guidelines, and Requirements
• Help Ensure Claims Meet lizur's Quality, Compliance, and Reimbursement Standards

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Strong Computer, Data Entry, and Organizational Skills
• Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
• Medical Billing, Insurance, DMEPOS, or Healthcare Experience Preferred
• Experience Working with Medical Claims, Insurance Payers, HCPCS/CPT Codes, or Electronic Billing Systems Preferred
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Insurance Billing Requirements a Plus
