Position Overview

The Billing Specialist will be responsible for managing high-volume billing activities, ensuring accuracy of invoices, and collaborating with internal teams to support timely billing and payment processes. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and manage high-volume billing transactions

  • Review, prepare, and submit invoices accurately and on time

  • Ensure billing documentation is complete and compliant with company standards

  • Collaborate with operations and project teams to obtain supporting documentation

  • Maintain accurate customer account and billing records

  • Monitor billing workflows and identify process improvement opportunities

  • Assist with accounting and administrative tasks as needed

  • Support team objectives and help meet critical deadlines during peak periods

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, or related accounting functions

  • Strong understanding of billing procedures and invoice processing

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Customer service mindset with a collaborative, team-oriented approach

  • Comfortable working in a deadline-driven and fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP, PSA, or accounting software

  • Experience using Acumatica, Dash, or similar systems

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including reporting and data management

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Contract-to-hire opportunity

  • Flexible work schedule

  • Primarily onsite in Indianapolis

  • Occasional remote flexibility when needed
