Responsibilities:- Process and submit medical claims to insurance carriers accurately and in a timely manner
- Review and resolve claim denials, rejections, and underpayments through appeals and follow-up
- Post payments, adjustments, and patient balances to accounts
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments
- Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries, statements, and payment plans
- Ensure compliance with coding standards including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS
- Collaborate with clinical staff to resolve documentation and coding discrepancies
Requirements:- 1-3 years of experience in medical billing or a related healthcare administrative role
- Proficiency with medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Experience with insurance claim submission, denial management, and AR follow-up
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and insurance representatives
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
