POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Behavioral Health Billing Services Account Manager will serve as a strategic partner to a portfolio of behavioral health clinics, overseeing client relationships, monitoring billing health, and proactively identifying opportunities to improve revenue cycle performance. This role combines healthcare operations, billing and collections knowledge, client management, and technology adoption to help clinics navigate software transitions and resolve operational challenges. As a newly created position within a growing team, this individual will have the opportunity to build processes, develop scalable workflows, and contribute to the evolution of an AI-driven approach to healthcare revenue cycle management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage Clinic Relationships: Oversee a portfolio of behavioral health clinics, serving as a primary point of contact and building strong relationships through responsive, proactive communication.
Monitor Revenue Cycle Health: Maintain visibility into each clinic's billing and collections performance, identify emerging issues, and proactively communicate trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Lead Client Onboarding and Transitions: Coordinate clinic setup and software transitions by gathering required documentation, including payer contracts, provider credentials and licenses, authorization forms, and electronic payment and enrollment information.
Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Take an active, hands-on approach to resolving clinic challenges, de-escalating concerns, investigating root causes, and coordinating timely solutions.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with onshore billing, payment posting, authorization, and verification of benefits teams, as well as offshore collections teams, to resolve issues and improve clinic outcomes.
Develop Processes and Leverage Technology: Build and refine systems, workflows, and operational processes while adopting new software features and AI-powered tools to improve efficiency, organization, and service delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in healthcare operations, behavioral health practice management, revenue cycle management, medical billing, collections, or a related field, with an understanding of how clinics operate.
Working knowledge of the healthcare revenue cycle, including billing, collections, payer contracts, credentialing, authorizations, and electronic payment processes.
Strong technology aptitude and the ability to quickly learn and adopt new software, AI-powered tools, and evolving systems.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple clinic relationships, prioritize competing needs, and proactively identify issues.
Strong client communication and relationship management skills, with a collaborative, adaptable, and hands-on approach to resolving problems and building processes in a changing environment.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The salary range for this position is $50,000-$60,000 annually, depending on experience.
