    Job Summary

    The Billing Manager oversees the daily operations of the billing department, ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient billing and invoicing processes. This role leads the billing team, manages accounts receivable activities, resolves complex billing issues, improves billing processes, ensures compliance with financial procedures, and collaborates with accounting and operations to support accurate financial transactions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead, coach, train, and supervise the billing team.
    • Assign and monitor work to ensure timely and accurate billing.
    • Establish departmental goals and drive continuous process improvements.
    • Oversee daily billing, invoicing, reconciliation, and accounts receivable activities.
    • Maintain billing data, product pricing, and financial records.
    • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and billing procedures.
    • Resolve complex billing issues and customer inquiries.
    • Support billing staff with escalated accounts.
    • Identify opportunities to improve billing efficiency and workflow.
    • Prepare billing reports and performance metrics for management.
    • Maintain tax-exempt certificate records and ensure sales tax compliance.
    • Support audits, internal controls, and documentation of billing procedures.
    • Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Previous leadership or management experience.
    • Strong knowledge of billing, accounts receivable, and financial systems.
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
