Enrich the lives of older adults through community, choice, and continuing care in the Manager, Care Center Billing. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced candidate to oversee all billing processes for our Care Center at Des Moines. This role provides leadership to billing staff, manages revenue cycle performance, and collaborates with internal teams to maintain financial integrity and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare billing, particularly within senior living or long-term care settings, and a thorough understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance billing procedures. What You’ll Do:
Billing & Collections:
- Oversee accurate and timely billing and collections for Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and Private Pay.
Revenue Cycle Management:
- Monitor accounts receivable aging; implement actions to reduce outstanding balances and improve cash flow.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with CMS, WA State Medicaid (HCA), and payer regulations. Learn and apply Federal, State, and local rules, regulations, and policies.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the hiring, training, performance management, and engagement of Care Center front desk and billing staff, including scheduling, timecard oversight, and policy enforcement to ensure consistent, high-quality service and operational excellence.
Census & Payer Coordination:
- Reconcile census, authorized, and billed days; coordinate admissions, discharges, transfers, and payer changes.
Medicaid Management:
- Oversee Medicaid pending applications, spend-downs, and client liability to ensure timely resolution.
Reporting & Audits:
- Prepare and distribute billing performance and revenue cycle reports; support audits and process improvement initiatives.
Cross-Department Collaboration:
- Work closely with Finance, Clinical, Admissions, and Compliance teams for accurate documentation and billing integrity.Perform other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field. Two years or more of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of three years of managerial experience supervising billing or accounts receivable staff.
- Advanced knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and insurance billing processes in healthcare or senior living settings.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- In-depth understanding of HIPAA privacy laws and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and other common workplace technology.
- Ability to understand and communicate in the English language.

Salary Range: $80,318.58 to $115,582.48 per year
