Billing Clerk - Part Time

We are seeking a detail-oriented, part-time Billing Clerk for a well-established healthcare support organization dedicated to providing high-quality administrative and billing services to medical providers. This is an on-site position located in Lancaster, PA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility.
• Process and submit claims electronically and via paper billing as needed.
• Monitor claim status and follow up with insurance carriers regarding unpaid, denied, or delayed claims.
• Prepare and submit insurance appeals and supporting documentation.
• Obtain and submit retroactive authorizations when required.
• Review billing records for accuracy and resolve claim discrepancies.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
